Ingredients :
For Dry Roast :
* Coriander seeds – 2 tblspn
* Cumin seeds – 1/2 tblspn
* Black pepper – 1 tblspn
* Fennel seeds – 1 tsp
* Cinnamon stick – 1 medium size
* Dry red chili – 3-4 nos ( as per your spice level)
* Clove – 1 no ( which I forgot to add)
To Stir fry :
* Prawn / Shrimp – 25 – 30 ( I used small prawns)
* Onion – 1 big no ( adding more onions will increase the taste)
* Coconut oil – 2 tblspn ( you can use your preferred oil)
* Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
* Pepper powder – 1/2 tsp ( as per your spice level)
* Curry leaves – 1 string
* Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
* Fennel seeds – 1/2 tsp
* Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
* Coriander leaves / Cilantro to garnish
Preparation Instructions:
1. Wash the prawns / shrimp using turmeric powder, salt and water.
2. Then in the washed prawn, add salt, pepper powder and marinate until the to add it in the recipe. Keep it aside.
3. In a pan dry roast the ingredients above in “For Dry Roast ” until turns aromatic and let it cool. Grind it to a fine powder.
4. In a Cast Iron pan / Pan, heat oil, add Cumin seeds, Fennel seeds and let it splutter.
5. Add Onions and saute for a minute and in the side add the marinated prawn / shrimp , turmeric powder and saute for a minute. Then combine the onion and prawn, fry for a minute.
6. Add the grinded dry roast powder and mix well. Add a tablespoon of coconut oil and let it cook for 4 minutes or until the prawn cooked by covering a lid in medium flame.
7. Sprinkle curry leaves, coriander leaves and chopped onions and turn off the stove.
8. Recipe is ready to serve.

14. let it cook for 4 minutes or until the prawn
cooked by covering a lid in medium flame.

15. Let it oozes out the oil.

16. Sprinkle curry leaves, coriander leaves and chopped
onions and turn off the stove.
Recipe is ready to serve.


Note for the dish :
1. Prawn also not need much time to cook. Maximum 4 -5 minutes is enough. Else it will turn rubbery.
2. If you wish, you can add pepper powder in final step too and serve.
3. This recipe can be a perfect side dish for all types of rice, dosa, chapati.
