Veggie Pasta / Indian Style Veg pasta

Nowadays pasta, macaroni, noodles became everyone’s favorite food, especially for kids. In that we are getting lots of varieties like wheat pasta, Millet noodles. Here, I have used white spiral pasta, but we can do this recipe with all types of pasta, noodles and macaroni . Mostly kids avoid veggies, but we can give them along with their favorite one, like one recipe that we are going to see.

Serves : 2- 3 people

Preparation time : 10 mins

Pasta cooking time : 9-10 mins ( mentioned in Pasta cover)

Cooking time : 10 mins

Total time needed : 30 mins

Ingredients :

* Pasta – 2 cups

* Onion – 1 medium no

* Carrot – 1 no ( long cut)

* Beans- 4-5 nos

* Mushroom – 4-5 nos

* Fresh / frozen Peas – 1/2 cup

* Cabbage – 1/2 ( long cut)

* Capsicum – 1/2 ( long cut)

Vegetables and quantity is totally your wish.

* Tomato – 1 small no

* Ginger garlic paste – 1 tblspn

* Garlic – 2-3 cloves ( chopped)

* Cumin seeds – 1 tsp

* Kashmiri chili powder – 1/2 tblspn ( as per your spice level)

* Pepper powder – 1/2 tblspn ( as per your spice level)

* Butter – 1 tblspn

* Oil – 1 tblspn

* Salt to taste

* Water to boil pasta

* Sugar – 1/2 tblspn ( optional)

1. Heat 3 parts of water high from the pasta by adding few drops of oil and salt. Once it starts boiling, add the pasta and let it cook for the time mentioned in the packet or until it cooks by stirring while .

2. Drain the water in a bowl ( which we can use it later if the recipe is too dry) and pour some cool water on the pasta and drain it out. Keep it aside.

3. Heat a heavy bottom pan or Wok , add butter and oil. Then add cumin seeds, chopped garlic and saute until the seeds splutter.

4. Add ginger garlic paste in a medium low flame and saute for a minute.

5. Add Onions, Carrot, Beans, Mushrooms, Peas , salt, sugar and fry for a minute or until the veggies oozes out the water . Add tomato and fry for 30 seconds. Make sure the flame is in high or medium high.

6. Then add Cabbage, Capsicum / Bell pepper and saute for a minute.

7. Add Sugar, Kashmiri chili powder, pepper powder and fry for 30 seconds.

8. Add the boiled pasta and give a good mix until all the veggies and masala stick together.

9. Add little bit of pasta cooked water if you feel the pasta is looking dry or getting to stick in the pan.

10. Finally add butter if you wish and turn off the stove.

11. Recipe is ready to serve.

fry for 30 seconds.

15. Add the boiled pasta and give a good mix

until all the veggies and masala stick together.

16. Add little bit of pasta cooked water

if you feel the pasta is looking dry or

getting to stick in the pan.

17. Finally add butter if you wish and turn off the stove.

Recipe is ready to serve.

1. Add oil while boiling the pasta to make it not sticky.

2. You can skip tomato and add tomato ketchup instead.

3. Adding sugar is to enhance the taste and remain the vegetables color.

4. You can make any kind of pasta, noodles and macaroni.

5. Adding butter finally will give you glossy look and enhancing the taste.
